Registration is now open on Winscore for the US Western Open at Top Gun in Mt. Vernon, WA August 2-5. This year the event will be shooting on both Rock Mountain and the Lake sides as in the past.
This year Jason and Gretchen Menke will be back. Jason will be setting targets again and co-managing the event with Top Gun Club. Gretchen will handle the office and registration. We are welcoming back many of our sponsors and will release the program as events, sponsors and awards are finalized.
Shooters, as you squad, Gretchen will reserve a spot for your team mates for one week ONLY. So please get them to sign up within that time period. Each person on your team needs to list the shooters on his/her squad as you are registering. Also, please make sure that you and your team sign up for the same times. You will be squaded by the time requested regardless of what your teammates sign up for. These tips will help to make this a wonderful shoot!
For the Feb 17 shoot at JBLM (Ft Lewis), Mike McCoy is donating 3 flats to Federal ammo to be given to the high score winners of class C, class D and class E. If there are tie scores, flats will be split. If winners leave early, the ammo will be held in their name till the next JBLM (Ft Lewis) shoot.
On March 3rd and 4th, SST will be hosting our annual Youth Shotgun Series Challenge. Details are here.
FYI: More information regarding shooting at Ft Lewis... they do take credit cards, registered shoot is $42 and Hunter is $35. To start they will have 10 stations. They won't have lunch but will have coffee and donuts. Ammo is available along with quite a few other products for sale.
As an FYI.... We will be shooting at Ft Lewis starting January 20th. There will be NO access through the main gate at JBLM because we can't get through the back gate at the club (it is no longer manned.)
Below are links to forms you need to fill out and drop off at the MAIN gate office of JBLM to register your gun for shooting at the JBLM shooting facility. There is a NON Military and a Military form. Most shooters will fill out the non-military form.
You need to fill this out and take to the base in order to shoot at the facility.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and a healthy and happy New Year. We are looking forward to an exciting 2018 shoot season. Two new clubs have joined this year; Fort Lewis (shooting the 3rd Saturday of the month) and Lost Pair Ranch (they will be hosting our state shoot this year.)
Looking forward to seeing all of you out on the course. Let’s make 2018 a great year by supporting all of our clubs!WSCA Board
The 2018 shooting schedule is now posted under the Schedule tab. Please be aware that the schedule may change because of unforeseen problems. We will do our best to let you know when changes have occurred but you can always tell if there is an updated by the ‘UPDATED’ date above the January calendar.
As the keeper of the WSCA Registered Tour Event (RTE) I made a mistake that should be cleared up. The 2017 shoot schedule shows an RTE event held at Bremerton on 9/3/17. That event was a registered event, but not an RTE event, again my mistake.
To be clear, the 2017-2018 Registered Tour kicks off Evergreen on Sunday 10-15-17
Sorry for the confusion, and any inconvenience this may have caused you.
I hope to see you at Evergreen
